Filson x Shinola Bixby Bicycle

Filson has teamed up with Detroit-based Shinola for the Bixby bicycle. It’s the duo’s interpretation of a 3-speed bicycle for urbanists and commuters alike. This is a purely American-made product with the purpose-built lightweight steel frames and forks being hand-crafted in Wisconsin and full assembly taking place in Detroit.

Painted Filson Green, the Bixby features a double-butted TrueTemper frame with a custom Shinola fork, a Shimano Nexus 3-speed internally-geared hub, and disc brakes, for shifting and braking performance in any weather condition. The stylish bamboo fenders and the special Portland Design Works rear rack with bamboo deck, feature a custom laser-etched Filson logo. The aluminum front rack is built to Shinola’s specs. Filson worked with Shinola on developing custom Tin Cloth bags for the front and rear racks. The front bag easily converts to a handy carry-all for shopping. The rear bags are a clever re-design of classic touring panniers, with a slot for a lap-top computer and quick and easy snaps to attach to the rack.
