Today, Mr. Brown launches his new company badged with his very namesake, David Brown Automotive. A modern take on the classic British Grand Tourer, the Speedback GT is the result of over 18 months of work from their in-house design team led by Alan Mobberley, former chief designer at Land Rover. Under the sculpted aluminum hood is a 510 hp 5.0L V8 Jaguar engine that'll get the car from 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, not too slow nor too fast, but just the right amount of power you want in a proper GT. The car also plays host to a number of unique details including a split tailgate that has a fold-out picnic seat for those times you want to pull to the side of the road and enjoy the coastline views from one of the best seats in the house.
From Japanese camera manufacturer Chinon has unveiled the Bellami HD-1 Digital Super 8mm Cine Camera. It features a retro die-cast body that integrates a large viewfinder, removable trigger handle and a D-mount for interchanging different modern and classic 8mm lenses. The HD-1 is actually pretty small in size and delivers a 2.1 megapixel sensor as well as the ability to shoot 30, 15, and 10 frames per second, with shutter speeds of up to 1/1000 per second.
Rolex's blue and red "Pepsi" bezel is back in a big way for 2014 as the watch company announces a brand new GMT-Master II in White Gold. This year's version of the iconic travel watch features a 40mm case in white gold with a red and blue bidirectional 24-hour ceramic Cerachrom bezel, and Rolex's own in-house calibre 3186 movement.
